Recently, I've received this error several times while deploying servers. I've found the quickest way to resolve this issue is to SSH into the DRAC and run the following command. Of course, after confirming that no one is legitimately logged in ;-)
racadm racreset
This command restarts the DRAC and frees up all of the available sessions.

ReplyDeleteServer sent disconnect message type 11 (by application:" when you ssh to the DRAC address? Even I am facing the same problem..
ReplyDeleteThanks for that tip
ReplyDeleteIf SSH doesn't work, and you have physical access, you can reset the DRAC by holding the "i" button down for ~20 seconds (until the light turns off).
ReplyDeleteThanks for the TIP. SSH/Telnet was not working while having the error mentioned in the post.
DeleteThx for the post.

ReplyDeleteHi we have “Dell iDRAC 7 Enterprise RAC0218: The maximum number of user sessions is reached”, but when trying to ssh to its management interface, and logging on as root, I obtain the message :
ReplyDelete“No more sessions are available for this type of connection”.
It only shows in a short flash, and the session is immediately kicked out. All the servers located in remote place. Please give some suggestion to solve the issue.

DeleteThank you ! You saved my life~~
ReplyDeleteIf this is still being followed, I get the same error when trying to SSH to the iDRAC.
ReplyDeleteThanks
I receive the same Error as RBMRAMESH:

I figured out you can update the firmware on the DRAC with a Windows installer update from support.dell.com with the Service Tag. Fixed all issues here.
